What does this look like in practice?
As a Network Engineer at Conclusion Mission Critical, you work at a high level (comparable to CCNP/CCIE) on the most critical and complex network projects within our diverse client portfolio, including organizations like Eneco, NS, 9292, Ennatuurlijk, and myBrand. You are responsible for designing, building, managing, and optimizing mission-critical networks that are essential for our clients’ continuity.

Your tasks include:

• Network architecture and management: Designing and implementing new network infrastructures, including lifecycle management and high-availability solutions

• Security and firewalling: Managing and improving security measures, including firewalls and Web Application Firewalls, focusing on vendors such as F5, Fortinet, and Akamai

• Cloud and hybrid environments: Integrating cloud and hybrid technologies into existing network infrastructures, including data center connectivity

• Automation and scripting: Using tools like Ansible and scripting languages to automate and optimize network processes

• Monitoring and troubleshooting: Using tools such as Wireshark, Zabbix, and Dynatrace to monitor network performance and resolve complex third-line issues

• Collaboration and communication: Actively working with various stakeholders, including architects and clients, and explaining technical solutions clearly

You are an analytically strong troubleshooter who can work independently but also thrives in a team. You understand the importance of accurate documentation and are aware of security aspects in your work. Moreover, you are eager to continuously develop and share your knowledge with colleagues.

Jouw vaardigheden:

• Experience with F5, Fortinet, and Akamai (must-haves)

• HPE, Juniper/Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, Cisco (nice-to-haves)

• Familiarity with Wireshark and Netbox; monitoring tools like Zabbix and Dynatrace

• Automation experience with tools such as Ansible

  Furthermore, we expect a senior to be proficient in:

  • Routing and switching, BGP, Multicast, IP

  • Firewalling

  • Web Application Firewalling

  • Cloud and hybrid technologies

  • Data center connectivity

  • Security techniques

  • DNS and certificates

  • Automation and scripting

• Knowledge of and affinity with Gen-AI is a strong plus—we’re looking for colleagues who are curious about new technologies and can translate AI’s potential into smart IT solutions
